Mechanisms of innate and adaptive immunity to the Pfizer-BioNTech BNT162b2 vaccine

The latest research explained the molecular mechanisms of immune response activation following the administration of mRNA vaccine (BNT162b2). Infiltrating lymph node NK cells and CD8 + T cells were the main source of anti-viral IFN- γ. Interestingly, studies in knockout mice showed that the induction of humoral and cellular responses to the BNT162b2 vaccine was not dependent on Toll-like receptors 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7, or inflammasome activation.
