Multi-omic analysis of the immune profile of COVID-19 patients showed a significant role of the AP-1/p38MAPK pathway in disease progression. Proteomic analysis of plasma revealed increased levels of IL-6, IL-8, CCL2, CLEC11A, CCL20, CXCL10 and CCL19, allowing for precise stratification of patients according to disease severity. Additionally, specific blood parameters differentiating the course of COVID-19 in relation to influenza or sepsis were identified. Research paper published in Cell.
