SARS-CoV-2 Omicron-neutralizing memory B-cells are elicited by two doses of BNT162b2 mRNA vaccine

Research data published by Japanese scientists have shown that about 30% of resting memory B cells retain their specificity for Beta and Omicron variants for up to five months after receiving two doses of the vaccine. This makes the neutralization of the Omicron variant so effective in fully vaccinated individuals. Work published in Science Immunology.
